Mary Drews is a senior legal assistant in the public law and water district practice areas. She is a specialist in water district representation and finance, assisting attorneys in district operating, construction, and bond related matters.  She has been extensively involved, on a day to day basis, in a wide variety of legal and administrative issues facing water districts.  Among the many district services she provides are meeting participation, minute preparation, legal document administration and preparation, and government filings.  Ms. Drews has an in-depth knowledge of public finance, including a vast amount of experience in the issuance of tax exempt municipal debt. She maintains a pervasive working knowledge in the areas of government elections and insurance requirements.

Prior to joining SKLaw, Ms. Drews was a legal assistant with the law firm of Fullbright & Jaworski in the Public Law Section.

Ms. Drews was born in Houston, Texas.  She received a B.S. degree from the University of Texas. Her associations and sororities include the University of Texas Ex-Students’ Association, the Longhorn Foundation, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Daughters of the American Revolution – Lady Washington Chapter. She served on the Board of Directors for the Gladney Auxiliary of Greater Houston.
